Make a statement
It's the trend to watch this week: the rise of the statement piece. This is jewellery with attitude - big, brash and bold.
It's not enough to go out of an evening with a tasteful pendant or a few jangly bangles anymore. What you need is a neck-cuff the size of a small child, rings the size of giant gobstoppers, bracelets that could double as doorstops and necklaces dripping with outsize charms.
Glam up a simple outfit with a piece or two and wear anytime you like (I've taken to wearing my H&M neck cuff with trackie bottoms, camped out on the sofa with a vat of iced cream - but that's just me).
Pieces are popping up everywhere. My favourites are at H&M, Topshop, Miss Selfridge and Urban Outfitters.
