Five of the best... strappy sun dresses

The sun's come out, yay! It's time to shop for summer dresses. There are loads out out there to choose from, from strappy to tunic, long or short, clingy or roomy. Not sure whether the good weather's here to stay? Just layer your sun dress over a long tee and wear with opaques.

Miss Selfridge border print dress, £25. If this dress looks familiar, it's because it's basically a strappy reprise of their cap sleeve border print dress that I featured in the Love This section a couple of weeks ago. With sleeves or sleeveless, it's still gorgeous.

Dorothy Perkins yellow check dress, £20. There's no getting away from it folks, yellow is the colour of the season. And with it's tiny price and on trend colour, this dress puts a whole new spin on the term "cheap and cheerful".

FCUK Moonbeam dress, £85. I just really like the simplicity of this dress. It'll be fun to layer over t-shirts or vests and coloured belts to create some interest.

Betty Jackson Sunshine dress, £85 at Debenhams. Here's a sun dress for grown ups, which taps into both the yellow and graphic trend. One to wear to all those barbecue parties you'll be attending.

Monsoon Izzy print dress, £95. It's expensive (I've heard that sales aren't coming thick and fast at Monsoon... can't think why) but this hanky hemmed print dress is 100 per cent silk and the print is a beautiful floral but with Zara doing the same thing at half the price, you have to wonder whether it's worth it.
